"Let the ingredients speak for themselves."
Owner/chef Charleen Tinley opened Charleen’s Cooking in 2000 to share her love for good food and expertise in the kitchen with the Augusta community. Her philosophy is to let the ingredients be the stars of the meal.
In 2011, Charleen joined Augusta Locally Grown as a hands-on advocate for fresh, local foods. As she forged friendships with local farmers and growers, her business evolved into what is today known as "Culinary Connections."
"Cooking is about accentuating
what Mother Nature has bountifully provided .
I'm sure your taste buds will agree!"
Cooking since childhood, Charleen developed a strong foundation in food preparation and creativity by avidly studying the great chefs. She continued a culinary pursuit by majoring in Nutrition in college and - after catering for several years - added an Accounting degree and an MBA.
When she’s not cooking, Charleen can be found walking local farms, traveling with Jay, gardening, swimming, or out for a walk with her dogs Harry, Roxie and Sophie.
